We have so enjoyed our tours here. We drove an hour outside of Guangzhou the other day, to visit a typical farming village, (one that could be representative of where our girls could be from????)
Who could guess. Anyway, it was a poor village, but our guide said it was ypical of the area. The people were very friendly, but curious of course, of these foreign invaders and their babies. We walked thru the village and then thru the fields where they were growing rice, cucumbers, tomatoes, and the typical fruit trees--lychee trees. Even though it was a poor and small village, it was green and beautiful.
The bus got a flat tire--thankfully only about 5 minutes from the village and so we walked a bit, and it was so hot, but the babies were all troopers. These pictures are of the village and fields. The older buildings were made of mud and straw bricks. We ran across one very sad looking potty, and I hoped it was out of commission, but I wasn't about to ask.
And doesn't little Anna Jo look so innocent when she sleeps??? :)
More later,
